Parkchester has its own Black History Month heroes. The Parkchester community came out last fall to celebrate the life and career of Lady Anne Dunbar, longtime PNC Board member, Board president for nine years and civil rights activist. The celebrants also recognized Mildred A. Hall, the first elected PNC Board President. Both were honored with special plaques on benches at 1946 East Tremont Avenue at the end of Laurel Drive.
